Role 2: Social Worker - Children (North East Lincolnshire Council)

🏢 Council: North East Lincolnshire County Council

📍 Location: New Oxford House, DN31 1HB

💼 Contract: Permanent

🕒 Hours: 37 per week (09:00-17:00)

💷 Salary: £47,754.00

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage complex and high-risk caseloads, including assessment, planning, and Child in Need plans
  • Practice in line with HCPC Code of Practice, Professional Standards for Social Workers, and PCF
  • Provide line management for Social Workers (up to Level 2)
  • Mentor and support less experienced staff
  • Deputise for Case Supervisor when required
  • Complete robust Single Assessments, analysing risk and need
  • Monitor, review, and reassess care / support packages
  • Work in partnership with external agencies and act as Lead Professional when required
  • Use evidence-based social work methods to achieve care objectives
  • Conduct direct work with children, families, and carers
  • Take necessary statutory action in relation to safety or liberty of children
  • Prepare detailed statements / applications for Family Court
  • Perform statutory duties for children in need and those looked after
  • Ensure timely and effective case closure
  • Maintain accurate casework records, chronologies, and reports in line with legislation
  • Participate in multi‑agency meetings and panels
  • Provide advice, guidance, and information on services for children and families
