Grade: 9A

Hourly Rate: £23.90 - £25.81

Salary: £43634.06 - £47119.81 per annum (FTE)

Contract Duration: Temporary until 01/05/26 or earlier return of post holder

Role Purpose

We are an enthusiastic and friendly team with supportive management and regular supervision. We are looking at new ways of engaging with the community and taking a more preventative approach, e.g.: Community Led Support and Integration with Health.

We are looking for candidates with transferrable skills to be able to work closely with statutory and voluntary teams to provide the best service for service users. You will need to have the highest professional standards, be emotionally mature, have a strong desire to help others and be able to show dignity and respect to all people. Opportunities for further training such as the grow your own social work training and development are available and supported through the supervision process

Essential
  • Registration with the relevant professional body: Social Work
  • 2 years post qualifying experience in relevant field.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary context.
  • A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
  • If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
