Job summary

Cygnet Bury Dunes in the United Kingdom is seeking a Social Worker Assistant to join the team. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, offering the chance to progress within a supportive service.

You will work with service users in a mental health setting, engage with families, and contribute to safeguarding and care planning, with DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in working within a mental health setting or passionate about this field.
• Knowledgeable of safeguarding, H&S, data protection, confidentiality, equality & diversity.
• An excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal, IT & telephone skills.
• Aware of the Mental Health Act and related legal frameworks.
• Skilled in report writing with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work in partnership with service users, families & other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the provision of high-quality care for patients.
• Forge links & maintain contact with other statutory agencies.
• Lead on the social care needs of patients.
• Ensure that patients & their families/carers are aware of their legal rights.
• Ensure safeguarding in multidisciplinary teams & provide reports for MDTs & others.

Cygnet Bury Dunes Cygnet Bury Dunes provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and emergency admission services. Each service user has a bedroom with en suite facilities and a range of communal spaces including a gym, laundry, occupational therapy kitchen, therapy garden and woodland walkways down to the Elton Reservoir.
