About the Role

Westminster Council is searching for two experienced and qualified Social Workers to bolster our Assessment Team. Functioning similarly to a Referral and Assessment unit, we are particularly keen to welcome candidates with relevant experience who can make a seamless transition and immediately contribute. Expect to play a crucial role in protecting children and supporting families through prompt and efficient assessments, while ensuring adherence to the latest Department for Education guidelines. What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive child and family assessments in accordance with statutory mandates
• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring interventions are timely and safeguarding measures are upheld
• Collaborate with multi‑agency partners to secure high‑quality outcomes
• Participate in a duty rota, committing to one full week per month at the office
• Maintain precise records and ensure compliance with Department for Education and local authority standards

Requirements

• Must be a qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
• Proven experience in Referral and Assessment or a similar front‑line social work position

Working Pattern
