Job summary

Liquid Personnel's client in Gateshead is recruiting a Children's Social Worker to join the Assessment & Intervention team. You will undertake child and family assessments, identify risks, and deliver timely interventions to safeguard children to promote positive outcomes for families.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with education, health, and police partners, prepare court statements and reports, and maintain case records to required standards.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, assessment, and analytical skills.
• Degree level qualification in Social Work (or equivalent).
• Social Work England registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality statutory social work service in line with legislation, guidance, and Gateshead policies.
• Undertake child and family assessments, including Child and Family Assessments, Section 47 enquiries, and risk assessments.
• Develop and implement child-centred plans to safeguard and promote welfare of children and young people.

• Manage a varied caseload and ensure timely interventions.
• Collaborate with partner agencies including education, health, police, and other professionals.
• Prepare court statements, reports, and assessments as required.
• Maintain accurate case records in line with professional standards and statutory requirements.
• Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children's Social Worker to join its client’s Assessment & Intervention team, based in Gateshead.

We are a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to safeguarding children and promoting positive outcomes for families across the borough.

As a Social Worker within the Assessment & Intervention Team, you will play a key role in undertaking assessments, identifying risks, and delivering timely interventions to support children and their families. Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have;

• Social Work England registration.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Social Work.
• Post-qualified experience within Children's Services.
• Experience completing assessments and managing child protection and safeguarding cases.
• Strong communication, assessment, and analytical skills.
