A local government authority in Wales is seeking a Social Worker for its Fourteen Plus Team. This role involves supporting young people aged 14 and above, focusing on care leavers and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Ideal candidates will have a recognized social work degree and experience working with children and families. The position offers a supportive team environment with a focus on staff wellbeing.

Pay Details: Grade 8, SCP 26 – 30, £37,280 - £40,777 p.a. / Grade 9, SCP 31 – 35 £41,771 - £46,142 p.a. / Salary on appointment will depend upon qualification and experience as determined by the appointing officer. There is no automatic progression from Grade 8 to Grade 9.
Hours of Work: 37 hours / Full time (unless otherwise discussed)

A little more information about the team: Our Fourteen Plus Team support young people aged 14 and over who are looked after by the Local Authority, young people who are homeless aged between 16 and 17 years, all care leavers up to the age of 25 years and all Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children. The Team’s commitment to engagement is promoting the increasing involvement of young people not only in their own lives but in improving services for others. In each of the teams, workers are able to be kind, consistent and focussed in their work with children, young people and their families / carers. Managers are readily available and staff wellbeing is a priority.
