Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is recruiting social workers within Children and Young People’s Services. You will work with families to assess needs, develop care and protection plans, and contribute to safeguarding initiatives.

Covering services including, Family Assessment and Support Team (FAST), and Child Permanence and Reunification, it’s the perfect time to join us and help deliver our shared goals.

We have high aspirations for our children and young people and always strive to work collaboratively with families and young people, working strongly with the belief that each child and young person has a network around them, which is essential to work alongside and tap into. We have an extensive training and learning offer to support our Social Workers in their work with children and families.

The roles are very varied working with families on a short-term basis whilst completing assessments and on a longer-term basis working Child and Family Plans and Child Protection Plans and in some cases we complete pre proceedings work and issue care proceedings. We work with all young people from birth up to the age of 18 having strong links with other agencies externally and teams in North Yorkshire.
