Connect2Hackney in London is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Disabled Children Service on a 12‑month contract. You will deliver EHCPs, family help and statutory care plans, and advocate for children’s voices while conducting home visits using STAR practice.

The role requires SWE registration and proven experience in children and families social services, with knowledge of safeguarding procedures and London Child Protection Procedures.

Formación

• SWE registration with Social Work England.
• Experience working in children and families social services.
• Knowledge of statutory child protection procedures.

About the Role

You will join a well-resourced team dedicated to delivering high-quality assessments, safeguarding interventions, and care planning for children with disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Deliver EHCP, Family Help, and Statutory care plans effectively.
• Respond to safeguarding and child protection concerns, balancing risk and resilience.
• Champion children's voices and complete home visits using STAR practice.
• Assess child development, parenting capacity, and family circumstances holistically.
• Use systemic and Reclaiming Social Work approaches to deliver effective interventions.
• Work collaboratively with schools, health services, and partner agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and produce clear reports for reviews and court work.
• Apply strong knowledge of childcare legislation, statutory guidance, and London Child Protection Procedures.

Key Requirements

• Social Work England (SWE) registration.
• Demonstrable experience working within children and families social services.
• Knowledge of statutory child protection procedures and safeguarding frameworks.
