Job summary

Lambeth Borough seeks a Social Worker to join Mental Health Adult Social Care Services in a Psychiatric Hospital Discharge Team (CLaSS). The role focuses on delivering a high-quality, person-centred service for residents, with safeguarding as a priority and a route towards AMHP qualification.

Hybrid working is offered with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, plus ongoing development opportunities within an alliance-driven service.

Qualifications

  • Qualified social worker with current registration.
  • Experience in mental health and hospital discharge teams is desirable.
  • AMHP training or eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

We currently looking at recruiting a Social Worker into a position available in our Psychiatric Hospital Discharge Team- CLaSS.CLaSS is a small multidisciplinary team who work to support clients through hospital discharge.

More broadly, the Adult Social Care Mental Health Service is part of a unique alliance, namely the Living Well Network Alliance (LWNA) which is responsible for providing Mental Health services through a model of integrated delivery with key alliance partners including South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Certitude, Thames Reach and South London ICB. This is a real opportunity to be part of a service alliance that works closely together to deliver coordinated mental health services.

About the Role:

As a Social Worker you will deliver a quality, responsive, safe, and person-centred service to support and promote the well-being of Lambeth residents. Safeguarding Adults is also one of our key focus areas and we expect all Lambeth staff to be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable people. The role requires that you have good organisational and communication skills and are familiar with current legislation and policies. The hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm or as the service requires at 35hrs per week.We support hybrid working, with a minimum of 3 days per week office-based work and a maximum of 2 days per week home working.

We are seeking experienced Social Workers who are committed to working in Mental Health and towards achieving Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification.
