Job summary

The Avalon Centre in Swindon seeks a Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team and support adults with acquired brain injuries, managing complex caseloads and conducting social care assessments.

You will liaise with safeguarding leads, contribute to ICR meetings, and support service users to plan for a safer, more independent future. DBS disclosure applies, with ongoing training opportunities available.

Job description

With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you can join the multidisciplinary team at The Avalon Neurological Centre in Swindon which has a strong emphasis on teamwork, and where you will provide care for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury. As a Social Worker you will manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and will contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future. You report to the Safeguarding Lead, and will manage internal investigations and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharging process, while enjoying access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations. As a Social Worker you will be:

The Avalon Centre, Edison Park Hindle Way, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN3 3RT. You will be working at The Avalon Centre, a purpose built neurological centre for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury.
