Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking a Senior Practitioner UASC in Birmingham to support Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children within Birmingham Children\'s Trust. You will manage complex caseloads and ensure welfare and safeguarding standards are met.

You will hold SWE registration, work collaboratively with agencies, and contribute to high-quality social work and family support in a vibrant city community.

Qualifications

  • Approved social work qualification with Registration from Social Work England (SWE).
  • Significant experience with vulnerable children and families and liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies.
  • Current knowledge of professional social work practices and key legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in various formats and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and promote welfare of vulnerable children and young people in Birmingham.
  • Manage a complex caseload, meeting legislative requirements and addressing each child\'s needs.
  • Collect, record and analyse information using management systems.
  • Conduct thorough assessments for children in need of protection.
  • Lead proactive meetings focusing on the child\'s needs, wishes and feelings.
  • Collaborate with professionals and agencies for a joined-up approach.
  • Prepare and present reports to conferences, courts and panels.
  • Support the Team Manager and participate in team meetings.

What you will do:

  • Support the Team Manager and engage in team meetings to contribute positively to the team's objectives
Essential qualifications:
