A leading local authority is seeking passionate Social Work Team Leaders to support adults with disabilities. We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and inclusive leader who values diversity and promotes a culture of respect, collaboration and continuous improvement. Our families and children from Coventry come from a variety of backgrounds and to deliver the best possible service it is vital that we have a workforce that represents and understands their unique experiences and perspectives.This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
We are looking for someone who is up for the challenge, who is compassionate but confident, can work under pressure and motivate and encourage your team on this journey. Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities or Adults in all settings, and if you have a particular passion for those who are on a transitions pathway from Children’s service to Adults or those clients who S117 entitled or older adults and those with physical disabilities.You will be committed and passionate about practice, sharing learning and knowledge and developing others. You will have a solid understanding of and be an advocate for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery.You must be able to lead by example and be flexible and adaptable in your approach.
