What you will do

• Supervise and support social work staff, ensuring adherence to statutory frameworks and best practice.
• Assist the Team Manager in overseeing casework, guiding junior staff, and handling complex cases.
• Provide ongoing training and mentorship to the team for continuous improvement.
• Assist in the assessment and decision-making for child protection referrals, ensuring accurate information gathering and timely actions.
• Conduct risk assessments and coordinate appropriate referrals to specialist services.
• Collaborate with partner agencies (police, health, education) within the MASH for coordinated safeguarding efforts.
• Lead multi-agency meetings and foster effective partnerships for better outcomes.
• Ensure cases are managed within statutory timescales, conducting audits and quality assurance reviews.
• Oversee the accurate completion of case records and reports, ensuring compliance with standards.
