  • Promote social value and sustainability understanding and capability development across the business, ensuring alignment with Capita’s strategic objectives
  • Support business development activities, including bid submissions, by embedding social value and sustainability into proposals and contracts.
  • Oversee social value partnerships, ensuring their alignment with local/national priorities as needed.
  • Work with procurement teams to embed sustainability principles in the supply chain, ensuring alignment with circular economy practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, advocating for social and environmental best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and local government specialists, to integrate sustainability and social value goals across operations.
  • Collaborate with internal networks (e.g., Family Network, Black Employee Network, Capita Ability Network) to enhance inclusion and diversity
  • Drive internal communications and advocacy for social value by writing case studies and promoting social value initiatives through communication channels.
  • Represent DSA and Capita LPS at relevant forums and conferences, promoting its commitment to sustainability and social value.
What we are looking for:
  • Expertise and understanding of social value models and sustainability frameworks
  • Project management skills, with the ability to lead initiatives from ideation through to implementation.
  • Stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging clients, government bodies, suppliers, and community representatives.
  • Analytical proficiency to assess impacts, identify risks, and develop data-driven strategies.
  • A team player who adopts a positive, enthusiastic and collaborative approach.
  • A curious and inquisitive nature, operating with honest, open, and clear communication at all times.
