Social Value Manager

Home Based – flexibility to travel as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a robust social value plan, aligned to client needs and the wider LPS Strategy.
  • Provide expertise and lead within LPS on capturing, measuring, and reporting social value and sustainability outcomes using measurement tools and performance dashboards.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance client social value delivery and share best practice.
  • Establish and manage partnerships with local community organisations, NGOs, and key stakeholders to maximise impact.
  • Promote social value and sustainability understanding and capability development across the business, ensuring alignment with Capita's strategic objectives.
  • Support business development activities, including bid submissions, by embedding social value and sustainability into proposals and contracts.
  • Oversee social value partnerships, ensuring their alignment with local/national priorities as needed.
  • Work with procurement teams to embed sustainability principles in the supply chain, ensuring alignment with circular economy practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, advocating for social and environmental best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and local government specialists, to integrate sustainability and social value goals across operations.
  • Collaborate with internal networks (e.g., Family Network, Black Employee Network, Capita Ability Network) to enhance inclusion and diversity.
  • Drive internal communications and advocacy for social value by writing case studies and promoting social value initiatives through communication channels.
  • Represent DSA and Capita LPS at relevant forums and conferences, promoting its commitment to sustainability and social value.
