A leading communications agency is seeking a Social Strategist to develop impactful social media strategies for a prestigious luxury client. This role involves working closely with data insights and coordinating with local market teams to enhance global strategies. THE CLIENT
Our client is one of the most prestigious brands in the world, and one of the most prestigious clients within Publicis. They are a genuinely unique business in terms of their structure and goals, meaning that most of the common objectives of an agency client – sales, revenue, margin – are infrequent considerations. Instead, they seek to ensure that the dominant position they hold within their market, the almost ubiquitous aspiration to ownership and their unique synonymity with excellence are sustained, not just for the sales quarter or the financial year, but for the very long term. This presents a unique challenge for media strategy, and that challenge is at the heart of this role.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be providing strategic thinking and deliverables for our social media engagement with this unique luxury heritage client: helping to guide the role of social media and the supporting platform strategies that will bring it to life across content, community and channel best practices. Meta platforms will be central to the role, with a very broad global scale, but the Social Strategist would also be involved in strategy development for other platforms, including some involvement in Asian-market platforms. Paid Social is our key scope, but the Social Strategist would need expertise in broader paid/earned/shared/owned social. Even more broadly, since social media is a central part of the client’s communication strategy, the Social Strategist would need expertise in holistic comms strategy in order to contextualise the role of Social.
