Salary: Inner London - MPS/UPS

About the role

Smart Teachers are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of Social Sciences for a highly successful Catholic girls secondary school in East London. The role is to commence in January 2026 and will run until July 2026 in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will join a forward-thinking department with a strong record of academic achievement and pastoral support. You will teach Psychology and Sociology across KS4 and KS5, contributing to a well‑resourced and collaborative team that values enthusiasm, innovation and reflective teaching practice.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience teaching Social Sciences at KS4 and KS5.
  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and classroom behaviour.
  • Value working as part of a supportive team and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Be available to start from January 2026 and able to commit until July 2026.
