Job description

Bauer Media Audio is Europe’s leading digital commercial radio and audio broadcaster, reaching over 61 million listeners across nine countries each week. Home to iconic brands, we create high-quality, engaging content across radio, podcasts, and digital platforms.

This role sits within our Consumer Insights (Digital) team, which operates across all nine markets to help shape the future of our digital audio products and offerings. We deliver meaningful, user‑centred experiences and ensure audience insights drive strategic decisions.

About the Role

As a Social Listening Analyst, you’ll bring audience conversations and cultural trends into the heart of Bauer’s strategic decision‑making. You’ll set up and manage social listening queries, analyse online behaviours, and deliver actionable insights that inform content, marketing, and product strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who lives and breathes social media, loves finding stories in data, and is passionate about audio and digital culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and manage continuous and ad‑hoc social listening queries using Brandwatch or equivalent platforms.
  • Deliver high‑quality insight reports, dashboards, and visual storytelling focused on trends, audience sentiment, and online behaviours.
  • Lead deep‑deep analysis projects into specific shows, genres, or audience groups to support the development of new content or marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and report on social and cultural trends across our key European markets, identifying opportunities or risks for our brands and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal content teams, strategists, and marketers to turn insights into action.
  • Build and maintain structured Boolean queries, taxonomies, and project templates for consistency and reusability.
  • Work cross‑functionally across local and international teams, adapting insights for different markets and audiences.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven hands‑on experience with Brandwatch (Consumer Research, Social Panels, etc.) or similar enterprise‑grade social listening tools.
  • Strong background in digital research, media analysis, or social data insights.
  • Experience delivering insight‑driven reports to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of Boolean logic, filtering, and segmentation techniques.
  • Deep interest in media, audio, podcasts, music, and digital culture.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or cultural contexts.
  • Familiarity with additional analytics or visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio).
  • Proficiency in any of our other market languages desirable.
