Job Title: Social Impact Manager

Location: Sheffield, UK, flexible hybrid or remote basis,

About the role:

At Westfield Health we exist to make a healthy difference to people’s lives, and this role is central to turning that belief into impact. Our mission is rooted in tackling the health inequities and social deprivation that surround our communities, with Sheffield as our epicentre. With no shareholders and a commitment to reinvesting one per cent of our revenues (exceeding £1m a year) directly back into society, we have both the freedom and the responsibility to drive meaningful change. We know that the right intervention, delivered with the right intent, can significantly shift outcomes, especially for young people whose futures are shaped by the opportunities and confidence we help create.

The Social Impact Manager will operate as the ambassador and driving force behind our charitable movement. This is not simply the stewardship of grants, partnerships, and governance, though those things matter and must be executed with excellence. It is the opportunity to guide charities, community groups, and social organisations to think bigger, be bolder, and believe they can achieve more than they imagined. You will help shape the agenda for change, unlock value through partnerships, amplify stories of transformation, and ensure that every investment of money, time, and expertise is purposeful and measurable. In doing so you will help us be a catalyst for aspiration, equity, and improved health outcomes, creating a legacy of impact that echoes far beyond the projects we fund.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work with the Westfield Health leadership team to develop and execute the Group’s social impact strategy, aligned to our corporate values and priorities; maintain policies, risk assessments, due diligence, and governance for all giving and partnerships.
  • Manage the annual charitable giving budget of approximately £1million including the end to end of the application process.
  • Chair or participate in committees and working groups, including the Giving Back Committee, the Westfield One Movement Committee, and the Social Value Working Group.
  • Produce regular social value and impact reports and case studies for executive leadership and the Board.
  • Identify, assess, and onboard charity partners and corporate sponsorships; from negotiating contracts to nurturing existing relationships.
  • Manage the efficient delivery of Westfield Health sponsored or partnered charitable and community events, such as the British Transplant Games
  • Design and deliver skills-based and team volunteering with partners; coordinate large-scale volunteering events, including logistics, risk management, safeguarding, and insurance requirements.

What you’ll bring:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience; training in social value or impact evaluation.
  • Experience in CSR/ESG, community investment, or grant‑giving.
  • Proven delivery of multi‑partner programmes and strategic management of significant budgets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing, relationship building and networking; clear written and verbal communication; strong planning and organisational skills; sound judgement and attention to detail.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), survey tools, familiarity with internal comms channels to support storytelling.
  • Ability to operate cross‑functionally with Marketing, People, Culture, Finance, and Group Leadership Team.
  • Balance strategic planning with hands‑on delivery; comfortable working autonomously and making evidence‑based recommendations.
  • Adhere to financial regulations, data protection, health & safety, and ethical fundraising/partnership standards.
  • Complete partner due diligence and ensures appropriate risk controls for events and volunteering.

Salary, Perks & Benefits:

  • £35-40,000 per annum.
  • Bonus Scheme
  • Health Cash Plan
  • Westfield Rewards
  • Surgery Choices
  • Matched pension scheme
  • Free use of onsite gym
  • 25 days annual leave plus 1 in lieu of Christmas period.
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Electric car scheme
