We’re on the lookout for a Social Impact Lead to join our welcoming team in Welshpool (Perth, WA) on a fixed term arrangement (up to 12 months - Parental Cover).

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Executive Manager of Organisational Impact, you’ll play a key role in driving and embedding The Y WA’s Impact Strategy across the organisation. You’ll work on theories of change, program logic and data evaluation plans across our early years services, our youth services, and our family and children’s programs.

You’ll work with robust evidence informed models like Positive Youth Development – 5C’s and will work on ground breaking programs like our School Ready program in our Early Years spaces. You’ll support teams to collect and use data and insights for continuous program improvement and funding opportunities, while conducting research, trend analysis, and literature reviews to inform strategic decision‑making.

You’ll also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen social impact practices and partnerships and represent the Y WA within key professional networks such as SIMNA and the National YMCA Social Impact Leadership Team.

You’ll be great in this role if you…
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent
  • Are passionate about driving positive social outcomes and making a real difference in the community.
  • Have experience designing and implementing social impact measurement and evaluation initiatives
  • Are confident and skilled using online survey tools like Qualtrics and the Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel) to collect, analyse, and interpret data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.
  • Can distil meaningful insights from quantitative and qualitative data, and create clear, compelling reports and communications for a variety of stakeholders from Board Members and Executive Leaders to service delivery teams, community stakeholders, and young people.
  • Have excellent relationship‑building skills and enjoy collaborating across teams and with external partners.
  • Can work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively.
