Job Description

Are you a natural storyteller with a passion for creating authentic content? Join our Employer Brand team to capture the energy of NEXT's culture and translate it into compelling social media stories. Based at Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire and offering a salary upto £34,663.

About the Role:

This is a full‑time, permanent and hands‑on content creation role where you will be the creative force behind the "Life at NEXT" and "Early Careers at NEXT" channels. Your core responsibility will be to bring these narratives to life by producing, shooting, and editing engaging content primarily for TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and X (experience with Instagram, LinkedIn, and Snapchat is also a definite plus). You will own the entire creative process, from concept to execution, crafting platform‑native video, photography, and inspiring copy to showcase what it truly means to build a career here.

You’ll act as a strategic storyteller, identifying the best content and formats to translate our employer brand goals into fresh, engaging content series across our key channels. A key focus is on community building; you will create interactive posts and spark meaningful conversations to make our audience feel connected to the NEXT brand. Your work will embody our ‘Let’s take it on’ ethos in every post, engaging our audience in exciting ways.

Crucially, your creativity will be data‑informed. You will use performance metrics and social listening insights to inspire your next wave of content, continuously refining your creative approach to drive engagement and awareness within our community. You'll use your keen eye for what's trending to craft narratives that resonate and build vibrant online communities, ultimately bringing our employer brand to life.

Now it’s your turn to take it on!

We want you to create a TikTok video that showcases why you would be the perfect fit for our Social & Content Specialist role within the Employer Brand Team. This is your opportunity to show us your unique storytelling style and your flair for creating engaging content. Please include the link to this video as part of your application.

About You:
  • Proven experience in crafting engaging, platform‑native content, including filming, editing, and producing video, photography, and compelling copy for diverse social channels.
  • An in‑depth understanding of platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X, with a keen eye for trending formats, algorithms, and best practices that drive engagement.
  • Exceptional ability to write captivating social copy, video scripts, and headlines that resonate with our audience and bring the NEXT story to life.
  • A natural flair for generating fresh ideas, exploring innovative content formats, and pushing creative boundaries to keep channels dynamic and inspiring.
  • Experience in analysing social media metrics and using these insights to inform content strategy and optimise creative output.
  • Familiarity with content management and scheduling platforms like Sprout Social, Later.com, or similar, to efficiently plan and publish content.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate creative concepts and collaborate effectively across teams.
