Overview

Post Title: Social Care Worker (2 vacancies)

Location: Arach

Hours: 37 Hours Per Week

Duration: Permanent

Salary: HC06 £31,996 - £35,497 p.a. Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

All staff are required to be registered with the SSSC. Training will be offered to meet registration requirements, and staff will have a grounding in trauma‑informed practice and approaches through a program of training based on Dan Hughes models of interventions.

This role involves working in a residential care setting, providing round‑the‑clock support to young people in crisis and emergency care in a home environment where up to 4 young people may be accommodated on a short‑term basis. The team is focused on building relationships quickly, providing care with empathy, and helping young people feel safe, cared for and supported to flourish.

You would work alongside a dedicated, passionate team where your contributions and skills are valued, and you would be part of a team transforming how care is delivered to make a positive impact on young people’s lives.

Requirements
  • Good general education, ideally have a HNC in Social Care SVQ3 or equivalent
  • Willingness and ability to register with the Scottish Social Services Council and to train to the required standard (minimum of HNC/SVQ Level 3 in an appropriate subject) and commit to ongoing training and development
  • Experience of working with children and young people and/or relevant life experience
