A little about myself:
I am a four-year-old little boy, and I live at home with my parents who take great care of me. I am diagnosed with Global Development Delay, ASD and display signs of Pica. Pica putting non-food items into my mouth which can heighten the risk of choking. It is so important that I am supervised well. I love being outdoors, going to the park, bouncing on a trampoline and soft play areas. I am a busy boy and need assistance when out in the community to keep me safe. I am nonverbal but I can communicate my wants and needs through leading and pointing. Sometimes I can become upset if I am unable to communicate what I want. I am looking for someone to support me to access the things I like and allow my parents some rest as I do not sleep very well at night.

• To ensure my safety when out in the community. I need to be closely watched, someone to always be around me and holding hands is important.
• I have no sense of danger and need help to cross the roads.
• Due to my limited understanding, I struggle with verbal instructions, I need to be guided and shown what to do.
• I am doubly incontinent and need to support with my personal care.
• I am a limited eater; my parents will guide you with knowing what I will and will not eat.
• I love going to the beach; however, I will want to play in the sea, despite the weather and what I am wearing. It is important to know that I can struggle with coming away from the beach because I love it so much. This can result in me refusing to move.
• I love to explore, and it is so important that the person who I am with knows to take their time with me, allow me to explore and go at my own pace, if not I can throw myself to the floor and refuse to move. Being distracted by something that motivates me can help me to come back around.
