Role

A Social & Academic Mentor is needed in a Roman Catholic All Girls Secondary School in South East London.

This is a full‑time, long‑term position.

Responsibilities

• Act as a mentor for vulnerable students through effective role modelling, forming positive relationships and utilising creative approaches which provide them with the skills to be successful and happy.
• Provide targeted interventions and support to students within the key stage and contribute to the raising standards agenda.
• Encourage and enable students to become independent and resilient learners by providing one‑to‑one and small group coaching in academic‑related skills, wellbeing, self‑management and emotional literacy.

Pay

£82.14 to £120 a day, depending on qualifications and experience.

A Voluntary Aided School for girls aged 11 to 16, also designated as a Teaching School, located in the London Borough of Greenwich. Established in 1850, it has a highly positive reputation within the community and is part of the borough’s local authority. GCSE and BTEC courses are available for pupils to study.
