Job summary

Line Up Aviation is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a 24-month, fully on-site contract in Stevenage. You will lead the technical aspects of SOC tooling, alert tuning, and log ingestion across toolsets to enhance security visibility.

The role requires strong scripting (PowerShell, Python, Regex) and API/JSON experience. Clearances include full SC with DV to follow; hours are 37 per week, 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Strong coding and scripting background with practical experience in security tooling.
• Experience integrating SOC toolsets and data feeds.
• Familiarity with certificate handling, patching and end-of-life refresh cycles.

Responsibilities

• Map and optimize SOC toolset topology and integrations.
• Tune alerts and improve log ingest to enable better visibility.
• Maintain SOC toolsets, readiness, and uptime in in-scope environments.
• Coordinate SOC appliance upgrades with Cyber Security Capability Manager.
• Lead playbook scripting and ensure documentation and testing are complete.
