Job summary

TSR Select in London is seeking a Tier 1 Cyber Security SOC Support Analyst to monitor security alerts across client environments, triage incidents, and provide first-line response. The role sits in a SOC within a growing MSP/MSSP security practice, offering exposure to Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.

You will investigate alerts, eliminate false positives and escalate complex issues to senior analysts. Hybrid work: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote, with a customer-focused, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year's experience in a Tier 1 SOC Analyst or Cyber Security Analyst role.
• Previous experience within an MSP or MSSP environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR.
• Good understanding of the Microsoft Defender suite, including Defender for Endpoint.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security from a threat detection and response perspective.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and respond to security alerts across managed customer environments.
• Investigate security events and perform first‑line incident response in line with established playbooks.
• Escalate complex or high‑priority incidents to senior analysts where required.
• Communicate incident updates clearly to internal teams and customers.
• Coordinate with third‑party vendors where necessary during active incidents.
• Support the wider cyber security team with ongoing investigations and operational activities.
• Manage support tickets through to resolution while maintaining excellent customer service and regular communication.

The Role
