Job summary

Forwardrole is seeking a Lead Snowflake Architect for a hybrid role in South West, UK. The contractor will own the Snowflake design and drive platform engineering and governance within a live data platform programme.

The ideal candidate has Snowflake expertise, end-to-end implementation experience, and holds active SC clearance. The role requires shaping architecture rather than leading people, with a hybrid onsite preference.

Qualifications

• Lead Architect with strong Snowflake expertise and ideally Snowflake certification.
• Experience designing and implementing Snowflake platforms end to end.
• Strong platform engineering and governance background.
• Active SC clearance is essential and non-negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building the overall Snowflake architecture.
• Leading on platform design and implementation across the estate.
• Owning platform engineering and governance standards.
• Working at scale, configuring and architecting the platform for a business-critical programme.
• Knowledge-sharing with the team to upskill them and enable full use of the platform.
