Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. You will build data pipelines, integrate data from multiple sources, and optimize warehousing for analytics, reporting and AI use cases.

The role blends work across Capgemini offices, client sites, and remote/home working, with non-100% work-from-home expectation. You'll collaborate with architects, analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise with Snowflake.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with Python and/or PySpark.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Modeling techniques.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control tools such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design data models and ETL/ELT pipelines with Snowflake.
• Develop and maintain scalable data ingestion frameworks from structured and unstructured data sources.
• Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, partitioning, query tuning, and warehouse management.
• Manage data transformations using SQL, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Dynamic Tables, and dbt.
• Implement data security, governance, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and orchestration tools like Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
• Support BI, reporting, analytics, and AI by ensuring high-quality data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, performance issues, and production workloads.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
