Job summary

AWD online, based in Reigate, is seeking a Production Operative to join a busy food production environment. The role involves equipment operation, product preparation, packaging and ensuring food safety standards.

Training is provided, and the role supports producing coconut macaroons, bites, cookies and other snacks. You will follow production schedules, monitor workflow, assist with ingredient handling and help maintain clean, safe manufacturing areas in line with HACCP.

Qualifications

• No previous industry experience required as training is provided.
• Good eye for detail and a great work ethic.
• Willingness to learn and follow production, quality, hygiene and safety procedures.
• Able to work well as part of a team to meet production and packing targets.
• Comfortable with hands-on production, packaging, cleaning and quality checks.
• Able to complete basic paperwork and record information accurately.
• Practical approach to keeping work areas clean and compliant with hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment used in mixing, baking, cooling and preparing snack products.
• Follow daily production schedules and batch instructions for efficient workflow.
• Assist with ingredient handling and packaging support.
• Monitor the production line for quality and performance, reporting concerns.
• Set up and restock packaging materials and labels on machines.
• Check finished products for correct weight, seal and labeling.
• Carry out basic checks and cleaning on production and packaging equipment.
• Complete and check production logs, batch records and quality checks.
• Maintain clean and hygienic work areas and follow HACCP plan.
