Qualifications

• Previous experience in an SMT production role is desirable.
• Understanding of surface mount machinery and PCB build processes.
• Confidence in reading build documentation and technical drawings.
• A hands-on and proactive work approach.
• Ideally has an engineering background, preferably in electronics.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate SMT equipment, including printers, reflow ovens, and pick-and-place machines.
• Prepare inventory, feeders, and materials for production runs.
• Read build instructions and interpret engineering drawings.
• Perform first-off inspections and support AOI fault reviews.
• Calibrate and maintain machines for optimal performance.
• Handle components correctly, ensuring ESD precautions and MSL awareness.
• Support continuous line operations and assist with manual part placement.

The responsibilities of the SMT Technician will include:
