Job summary

A local educational institution in West London is looking for a School Meal Supervision Assistant (SMSA) to support children during lunchtime. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team. Experience in a similar role is preferred, but willingness to learn is also welcomed. A First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential. The role offers a supportive and dynamic working environment.

Job Overview

Lake Farm Park Academy is a new three‑form entry nursery and primary academy with an SRP for 12 children with ASD. It serves the families of over 700 children in the richly diverse and welcoming community of Hayes in West London. The academy is part of The Park Academy Trust, allowing us to benefit from a wealth of expertise across our eight academies, as well as enabling us to provide opportunities for sharing of good practice and high quality training.

Responsibilities

We are looking to appoint a SMSA. The successful candidate will ideally have some experience of working in this role or similar, but we would also welcome applications from candidates who have not had experience in this role. The ideal candidates will be caring, patient, self‑motivated and be able to work from their own initiative. They will need to take direction from the Lunchtime Supervisor and work closely alongside the other Lunchtime Controllers. They will be a team player with excellent communication skills.
