Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Smoke Ventilation, Controls or HVAC industries.
  • Full clean driving license (minor points considered).
  • CSCS card.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, testing, snagging and commissioning of smoke ventilation systems.
  • Providing client training and obtaining system sign-off.
  • Daily communication with the Project Manager regarding progress and issues.

Project Engineer - Smoke Ventilation Systems

Location: London & Home Counties

Salary: £35,000-£50,000 + Benefits

Hours: Full-time, permanent

V7 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a growing specialist within the life-safety smoke ventilation sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of installation and commissioning projects across the Southeast and occasionally UK-wide. The successful candidate will work closely with project management teams, clients and site engineers to ensure safe and compliant delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Installation, testing, snagging and commissioning of smoke ventilation systems
  • Providing client training and obtaining system sign-off
  • Ensuring all commissioning and documentation records are completed accurately
  • Daily communication with the Project Manager regarding progress and issues
  • Supporting strategy and programme design
  • Resolving technical problems on site
  • Working in line with strict Health & Safety procedures
  • Identifying and minimising site risks
  • Maintaining a professional appearance on site
  • Keeping up to date with technical information
  • Delivering thorough handovers to After-Sales teams
  • Monitoring subcontract labour and training engineers where required
Requirements
  • Strong engineering and electronics knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Smoke Ventilation, Controls or HVAC industries
  • Excellent planning, record-keeping and communication skills
  • Ability to work from schematics, site plans and project drawings
  • Ability to provide technical support to clients and colleagues
  • Well organised, proactive and commercially aware
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team

  • Able to remain professional under pressure
  • Full clean driving licence (minor points considered)

  • Physically fit
  • Willing to travel and stay away when required
