Job summary

Forvis Mazars in the UK is seeking a corporation tax lead to manage a portfolio of SME clients within our Outsourcing & Accounting team. You will lead corporation tax delivery, review computations, and collaborate with the national tax team while training and upskilling the wider team.

The role involves proactive client discussions on tax opportunities and close working relationships with Partners/Directors to drive tax service growth.

Qualifications

• Experience (typically minimum of 5 years) delivering corporation tax reporting for a portfolio of clients.
• Broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience.
• Experience identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients (and across other service lines).
• Proven ability to train, provide feedback and upskill wider teams.

Responsibilities

• Building client relationships with SME portfolio.

The SME Outsourcing & Accounting team is a specialist team dedicated to deliver outstanding client service to entrepreneurial and growth-oriented SME businesses, who value the delivery of excellent accounting and tax compliance and advisory solutions to support them on their growth journey.

About The Role

• Building client relationships with our portfolio of SME businesses
• Being the corporation tax lead for the department, and acting as the conduit between the national tax team and the SME team, including training, feedback and upskilling of the wider team
• Reviewing and approving corporation tax computations and tax accounting
• Proactively talking to clients about tax opportunities which may be relevant to them, and
• Working with the Partners/Directors, and the wider tax team, to deliver on such work.

What we are looking for

• Experience (typically minimum of 5 years) of working with a portfolio of clients to deliver on annual corporation tax reporting requirements
• ATT (or equivalent) qualification
• Demonstrate broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience
• Experience of identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients (and ideally across other service lines).
