Smart Meter Technician

Overview:

Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the utilities sector for Smart Meter Technicians. No prior experience is necessary – full training, equipment, and a company vehicle will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a long‑term career in the utilities sector. You’ll be working across the local water network in either the Cornwall or Salisbury area, installing and exchanging smart water meters and uploading data via a company‑issued tablet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and exchange smart water meters at customer properties
  • Upload data using provided tablet and software
  • Supporting the team on a variety of different projects and initiatives. Undertaking water network surveys and installations
  • Responsibility for the successful delivery of small projects and packages of work
  • Working independently as a single person unit within urban/suburban environments
What We’re Looking For:
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • A reasonably clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Must be located within commutable distance to either Cornwall or Salisbury (accommodation not provided)
