Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group in Bristol is recruiting a skilled Small Tool Fitter to service, repair and maintain small tools, 2/4 stroke engines and light equipment.

You will diagnose faults, carry out inspections, ensure equipment is safe and ready for hire, and provide on-site customer service. The role offers £30,000–£38,000 per year DOE, with overtime opportunities and clear career progression within a national hire company. Hours are Monday to Friday, with ongoing training and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Small Tool Fitter or similar.
• Strong mechanical skills with 2/4 stroke engines and small plant machinery.

About the Role

Im recruiting on behalf of a leading equipment hire company for an experienced Small Tool Fitter. You´ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of small tools, 2/4 stroke engines, and light equipment.

It´s an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys working independently and delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Previous experience as a Small Tool Fitter, Plant Fitter, or Maintenance Technician
• Mechanical knowledge of 2/4 stroke engines and small plant machinery
• Able to diagnose and repair faults independently
• Self-motivated, reliable, and organised
