Job summary

London & Partners is seeking a proactive Small Business Resources Manager in London to ensure SMEs have timely resources and support. You will analyse monthly needs, prioritise gaps, and support AI programme content.

Description

The Small Business Unit, leads London & Partners’ work to support entrepreneurs to thrive. There are 450,000 businesses in London employing fewer than 10 people. These businesses build and strengthen local communities; bring investment to town centres; contribute to thriving high streets; and provide access to stable, local jobs.

The Small Business Unit is responsible for delivering Grow London Local (GLL) providing a ‘single front door’ to business support, matching entrepreneurs and business owners to the help they need to grow. In addition, the Small Business delivers the Made Smarter Digital Adoption Manufacturing programme and will be also delivering the new AI programme starting in Nov 2026.

Purpose of role

The ‘Small Business Resource Manager will work with the Head of Small Business Service Delivery to ensure that we are meeting the demands of London’s small businesses with relevant and timely resources, content and support offerings. Working with stakeholders internally, the Small Business Resource Manager will be responsible for analysing the needs and challenges faced by SMEs each month, and prioritising gaps. The Small Business Resource Manager will also play a key role in supporting the creation for the AI Adoption programme.

The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with other teams, such as Content, Service Delivery, Small Business Programmes and Marketing on tasks such as planning and sourcing content and webinar speakers from provider organisations and corporate partners; planning newsletters, and executing campaigns across the GLL service. The role will also support other tasks within the Small Business Service Delivery team as required.

Key Tasks
Resources Reporting & Analysis
  • Alongside the Head of Small Business Service Delivery, the Operations team, and the CRM team, develop a new process to conduct regular supply / demand analysis, prioritising the needs of London’s SMEs with the creation of content and provision.
  • Monitor and identify gaps in support offerings, ensuring they are communicated and addressed promptly.
  • Produce and deliver regular updates on provision analysis at team meetings.
  • Share regular updates, in multiple formats, regarding new and upcoming support offerings with delivery teams
  • Set priorities for the Provider Engagement and Content teams.
Resources Management
  • Work with the Content team to develop a calendar of editorial and visual content for the GLL website. As the service lead, you’ll ensure that content is aligned with wider department objectives and funding requirements, and addresses the needs of London’s SMEs.
  • Alongside Design and CRM teams, lead on the reimagining, design and maintainance of action plans for aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Coordinate content requests from stakeholders across the organisation, including Marketing, Partnerships and Service Delivery teams.
  • Work with the Partnerships team to identify commercial opportunities and to develop sponsored, co-branded digital content with new and existing commercial partners.
  • Curate and maintain recommendations for GLL campaigns (such as GLL Money) and digital diagnostic tools, and lead on the creation of new resources when needed.
  • Ensure the accurate matching of provision for the in-person business support teams.
  • Plan, curate and source content for GLL’s AI programme to ensure that SMEs at all stages of their digital adoption journey have access to support.
  • Work with the Design team to create downloadable toolkits for the GLL website.
  • Work collaboratively with the Content team to design a schedule of online webinars, and source speakers / subject matter experts from the provider and partner community to share expertise across this and other formats.
  • Work alongside the Service Delivery teams to update Action Plans for aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • Manage email requests from SMEs looking to self-serve via the GLL platform, signposting them to timely, relevant support offerings and resources.
  • Work alongside the Marketing and Email Marketing teams to plan SME and Provider newsletters that are both topical and aligned with wider team objectives and campaigns.
  • Support the Head of Small Business Service Delivery with Provider Portal optimisation, and data migration from the current digital platform to GrowOS.
You’ll have/bring
  • A deep understanding of SMEs and the challenges they face – particularly those from underserved communities.
  • Knowledge of London’s business support landscape.
  • Experience of owning and managing projects from inception to completion, and driving actions forward.
  • A creative mindset and outside-the-box thinking that will ensure that entrepreneurs at all stages of the business lifecycle are able to access support across all areas of business, and in a variety of formats.
  • Experience of producing reports and using data and analytics to inform activity and achieve objectives.
  • Ability to demonstrate high standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate information effectively and confidently to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, and CRM systems.

  • Qualification or certification in project management.
