The Team & Culture

You’ll join a close and collaborative team made up of four vets, four nurses, a dedicated veterinary care assistant, and three welcoming receptionists. With interests ranging from soft tissue surgery to internal medicine, this team thrives on learning, sharing knowledge, and working together to provide the highest standards of care. They also celebrate one another’s achievements – birthdays, team outings, seasonal get-togethers – building a culture around balance, wellbeing, and mutual support.

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS and ideally with a minimum of two years’ experience in small animal practice. You should be confident with consultations and routine surgeries, and experience with exotics is a welcome bonus. The role is ideally full‑time – 40 hours over four days – but part‑time options can be discussed. The weekend rota is one in three: Saturdays 9 am‑6 pm and Sundays 10 am‑4 pm. There are no out‑of‑hours or bank holiday shifts, allowing you to enjoy a better work‑life balance.

We recognise your skills and experience with a competitive salary of up to £60,000. A generous CPD allowance and support for further training (including certificate funding) are provided. Holiday starts at 5.6 weeks and rises to 6.6 weeks after two years, with an additional day off for your birthday.
