Job summary

Chattyvets in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, is seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in surgery. The role offers full or part-time hours, a 1:4 weekend rota, and a salary of £50,000–£70,000 per annum DOE. You will join a modern practice with a supportive team and strong CPD culture.

You will deliver high quality care, develop surgical skills, and work collaboratively with RVNs and colleagues to provide excellent patient and client care within a community-focused clinic.

Qualifications

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Experience in small animal general practice
• Interest in developing surgical skills
• Confident managing a varied caseload and client care

Responsibilities

• Providing preventative healthcare and routine consultations
• Diagnosing and treating sick and injured pets
• Developing appropriate treatment plans
• Delivering excellent patient and client care
• Performing surgical procedures appropriate to your level of experience
• Developing your clinical interest in surgery
• Promoting pet health and wellbeing
• Working collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and the wider team
• Contributing to a positive and supportive practice culture
