Axe Valley Veterinary Practice Is seeking to employ a Small Animal Receptionist to join our friendly team.

Axe Valley Veterinary Practice Limited is looking for a receptionist to assist in the day to day running of our busy small animal practice. Most of the job will be based in our Winscombe branch but cover may be required at all of our surgeries.

The role will include supporting the veterinary staff at busy times and to provide the highest level of care to our clients and their pets. This is a varied position which will include cleaning, ordering of stock, handling of animals and a small amount of lone working.

The ideal candidate will be confident in communication with a professional, friendly and caring approach along with a positive "can do" attitude.

This will be a fast-paced role so we are looking for someone who can multitask, is a professional and a team player and can maintain their sense of humour at busy times.

Previous experience working in a veterinary receptionist environment would be advantageous, but not essential. However proficient IT skills are a requirement.

Your shift pattern

The successful applicant will be required to work 25 hours a week.

Your usual weekly shift pattern would be as follows:

• Monday: 1 pm - 6pm
• Tuesday: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
• Wednesday: 1 pm - 6 pm
• Thursday: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm
• Friday: 1 pm - 6 pm

Flexibility will be essential to cover staff holiday and sickness - including some long days of 8:30 am - 6 pm to cover your fellow receptionist. You will also be required to work between the opening hours of 8 am-7 pm Monday-Friday if covering our other branches, Blackford, Weston, Cheddar, Wells and Woolavington.
