Job summary

Kentdale Referrals is recruiting a motivated Small Animal Surgeon to join our established surgical team near Milnthorpe. You will perform soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures with experienced Diplomates and contribute to our growing referral caseload.

You will work within a multidisciplinary hospital, delivering high standards of care and supporting referring vets with expert guidance and after-hours support as part of ongoing service development.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Small Animal Surgeon or completed residency with intent to sit board examinations.
• Experience in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with colleagues and referring vets.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of soft tissue and orthopaedic referral cases.
• Provide high standards of care for surgical inpatients.
• Support referring veterinary surgeons with clinical advice and out-of-hours support.
• Collaborate with the wider hospital team to manage routine, urgent and emergency surgical referrals.
• Contribute to clinical discussions, case reviews and development of the surgical service.
• Support referring practices through case-based advice and external CPD, including lunch-and-learn sessions.
