Job summary

Bristol Vet Specialists invites applications for a 12-month fixed-term Internship in Small Animal Internal Medicine, starting July 2027. The role supports our Internal Medicine team, which includes specialists, residents, nurses, and a patient care assistant in our state-of-the-art Bristol hospital.

The internship offers broad exposure across services and a clear pathway to advanced postgraduate training such as residencies. Applicants must be MRCVS with UK experience and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be an MRCVS and have a minimum of twelve months experience in small animal practice in the UK.
• Candidates should have previously undertaken a rotating internship in a specialist hospital.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing English and ability to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for cases seen by clinicians/residents and take primary responsibility for own cases with follow-up.
• Participate in the emergency service rota during weeknights (shared, max 1-in-4) and weekend days (1-in-4).
