Job summary

Fawkes & Reece, a well established regional contractor specialising in civil engineering and infrastructure, is seeking a Site Slinger for on-site lifting operations.

You will direct and control lifting activities, communicate with crane operators, attach/detach loads, and inspect equipment to ensure safety and compliance. The role requires reliability and strong teamwork on site.

Qualifications

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger/Signaller qualification.
• Previous experience working on construction or civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

The company:

As the site Slinger you will be responsible for

• Ensure all lifting activities comply with site procedures and lifting plans.
• Maintain safe working areas around lifting operations.
• Work closely with site management and other trades to ensure operations run smoothly.

About you:

Ideally you will have previous working experience in a Slinger position.

You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be weary of others who are working alongside of you.

You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller qualification.
