What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting staff and students across the Technical Services department
  • Delivering hands‑on learning and technical guidance in Plumbing
  • Conducting assessments and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Liaising with colleagues, employers, and awarding bodies to support learner success
  • Providing constructive feedback to help students progress and achieve
  • Managing workshop stock, including ordering and issuing supplies

About You

We’re seeking a motivated and organised Skills Practitioner – Plumbing to join our Technical Services team. You’ll use your hands‑on knowledge to support lessons, demonstrate techniques, and guide learners through practical tasks.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting and facilitating learners in developing practical plumbing skills
  • Delivering in‑class demonstrations to enhance learning experiences
  • Upholding and promoting excellent Health & Safety standards in all workshop areas
  • Managing resources, ordering materials, and maintaining stock levels within budget
  • Providing encouragement and feedback to help learners achieve their full potential
What we’re looking for:
  • Recent, relevant industry experience in plumbing or building services
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • A passion for mentoring and supporting young people
  • Ideally, some experience of training or education in the workplace (though not essential!)
