Job summary

Amodo is seeking a Workshop Technician for our Sheffield office to support busy engineering activity. You will perform hands-on machining, fabrication, testing, and assembly in direct support of our engineering teams, helping to keep the workshop running efficiently.

You will manage inventory, tools, and workspace safety, ensuring lean processes and tidy spaces. Strong basics in electronics and engineering are valued as you contribute to diverse hardware projects in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical workshop equipment and a toolbox
• Familiar with basic electronics equipment and processes
• Strong background knowledge of engineering and manufacture

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on billed project work — machining, fabrication, testing, manufacture and assembly in direct support of our engineering teams
• Manage the mechanical and electronics workshops (inventory, tools, consumables, work-in-progress) with lean, well-organised systems
• Maintain workshop and office equipment — keeping them functional and safe, including managing hazards, risk assessments, and implementing safe working practices
