Qualifications

Job description

So, what will I be doing?

Are you looking for a exciting new role in a fast growing organic food company in Somerset?Yeo Valley is looking for an experienced and reliable Logistics Operative to join our busy distribution team at Isleport. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s confident working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and has solid experience using Reach Trucks and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

In this role, you'll be responsible for moving stock around the warehouse safely and efficiently, helping to keep everything running smoothly. A large part of the job involves accurate picking and packing, so attention to detail is a must. You'll also be expected to support with general warehouse tasks, follow health and safety procedures, and work as part of a friendly and hard-working team.

We’re ideally looking for someone with a valid or recently expired Reach Truck licence, who has previous experience working in a similar role. Confidence using MHE and picking systems is important, as is a flexible attitude and a strong team ethic.

The shift pattern for this position is 4 on 4off ( 8pm- 8am)
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Booking in stock, storing stock and managing any stock related issues
  • Undertaking stock checks
  • Ensuring the presentation standard of packed/picked goods meet both company and customer requirements
  • Ensuring safe use of all equipment, escalating any breakdowns or issues with equipment to your Team Manager
  • Maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety, ensuring company procedures are followed
  • Minimising wastage where possible
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace ensuring that hygiene standards are met
  • Operate Reach Trucks and other MHE safely and competently
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
