Job summary

3D Personnel Ltd is seeking a Skilled Operative for a construction project in Kirkcaldy. The role involves preparing and supplying cement and mortar for bricklayers, mixing batches to the required ratio, and keeping up with the bricklaying team on site.

You will operate and clean cement mixers, move materials around site, and follow health and safety rules. A valid CSCS card and experience mixing batches independently are essential; strong work ethic and teamwork are also required.

Job description

3D Personnel are currently looking for a Skilled Operative for a construction project in Kirkcaldy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and supplying cement/mortar for bricklayers, ensuring batches are mixed correctly and are ready when required.

The day-to-day duties will consist of:

• Mixing batches of cement/mortar to the required ratio, consistency and specification
• Being able to independently mix a full batch of cement/mortar for bricklayers
• Preparing and supplying mortar to bricklayers throughout the working day
• Ensuring bricklayers have a continuous supply of correctly mixed cement/mortar
• Loading and unloading cement, sand and other construction materials
• Moving and handling materials around the site
• Operating and cleaning cement mixers and associated equipment
• Measuring and preparing materials accurately for each batch
• Cleaning and maintaining the mixing area, equipment and tools
• Keeping the site clean, safe and tidy
• Assisting bricklayers and other trades when required
• Carrying out general skilled labouring duties
• Performing all required duties as instructed by the Site Management team
• Working in accordance with site rules and industry health and safety standards

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid CSCS Card
• Must have previous experience mixing batches of cement/mortar independently
• Must be confident preparing the correct mix for bricklaying
• Previous experience working alongside bricklayers or on bricklaying projects is preferred
• Must be able to work at a good pace and keep up with the demands of the bricklaying team
• Must be hardworking, reliable and driven
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Must have valid ID/Passport
• Must have full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis and safety boots)
