Skilled Machine Operator - Food Processing

Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting on behalf of a valued and long-standing client Cranswick Prepared Poultry, a leading food manufacturer based in Hull. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced food production environment with long-term career potential.

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent
Pay: £13.67 per hour
Shifts: 7AM TILL 7PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machines setup and start-up
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Operating machinery safely and efficiently
  • Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or irregularities
  • Report issues to supervisors or maintenance teams and assist in basic troubleshooting if required
  • Maintain production logs, machine performance records, and incident reports as required
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Keep the work area clean and hazard-free
  • Communicate clearly about machine status, output, and any issues
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous machine operator experience idealy in food industry
  • Ability to operate and adjust industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to read and understand and comply with specifications
  • Comfortable working in chilled conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical work ethic
  • Forward thinking and planning skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Possess excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Familiarity with workplace safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to perform routine checks, cleaning, and minor mechanical repairs
  • Willing to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
