Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Clevedon is seeking Skilled Electrical Operatives to support the production line with electrical build and wiring activities. You will wire cabinets, assemble looms and complete small electrical assemblies to specification and quality standards.

The role requires reading electrical schematics and drawings, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Training and in-house guidance provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical wiring or assembly.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong crimping and cable termination skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Electrical qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment and components.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out panel wiring and electrical interconnections
• Build wiring looms and harnesses to specification
• Perform wire and cable termination, including high-quality crimping
• Install electrical plates, components and devices
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings and layout diagrams
• Repair and replace wiring and electrical components as required
• Complete relevant production and build documentation
• Follow build notes and instructions provided by the Team Leader
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality
• Carry out rework, corrections and modifications when required
• Maintain 5S standards and a clean, organised work area
• Use hand tools and lifting equipment safely
• Identify and report issues with materials, documentation or assembly
• Support other production areas and roles when required
