Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is partnering with a busy London bakery to hire a Skilled Baker in Merton. You will work Mon-Fri, 1pm–9pm, producing burger buns, breads and pastries on high-speed lines using modern bakery equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of baking experience in a large-scale bakery, factory or hotel. Salary £30,000-£34,000 with overtime up to £6k, plus pension and 25 days holiday. Clear path to supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Baking a range of breads and pastries to a high standard.
• Hand moulding, mixing, and oven work.
• Operating machinery including mixers, conveyors, weighing machines, and moulding equipment.
• Working collaboratively with the production team to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintaining hygiene, cleaning, and safety standards.
• Minimising waste while ensuring consistent product quality.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.

Job Role of the Skilled Baker

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Skilled Baker to join a busy and well-established large abakery operation in London. This is a great opportunity to work within a high-volume, fast-paced production environment that prides itself on producing consistently high-quality baked goods.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the daily production of burger buns, breads, and pastries, working with modern bakery equipment and maintaining excellent production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Baking a range of breads and pastries to a high standard

• Operating machinery including mixers, conveyors, weighing machines, and moulding equipment
• Working collaboratively with the production team to ensure smooth operations
