Job summary

Dover Vanguard Limited is seeking an Assembly Operator to join our Oldham production team. The role involves fabricating and assembling specialist roller shutter door systems for commercial vehicles, reading drawings and production instructions.

The position requires practical skills with hand and power tools, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with colleagues to hit targets. Forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, assembly, factory, or production environment.
• Practical skills using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift licence is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble specialist roller shutter door systems and components.
• Use hand tools, power tools and manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
• Read and work from technical drawings and production instructions.
• Measure, cut, prepare, and fit components to specification.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Support packing and preparation of finished products for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets.
